the gauntlet discussion

In this thread, you and your group members need to discuss how your charries worked as a team and how their night went. This will determine their rankings -- if you post nothing, we will make it up ourselves, and it will most likely be dismal results.

Include anything here, included but not limited to: injuries, mental breakdowns, one person continuously walking away so they shock themselves or group members, or anyone talking off their wristbands.

Lyca & Dan probably work really well together
I can definitely picture Lyca tripping Dan and then running away so he gets shocked. but eventually she would take the comp seriously, because obviously she's here to win!

Jamie & Dan definitely don't work well together.
Lots of snide comments on Jamie's half, and irritation with Lyca & Dan shenanigans because hey he wants to win here.
He also doesn't get along well with most members of the team in general.
He's a little stuck up.

But hey, he does have skill so he's not a complete waste- when he's not bitching and standing as far from Dan as he can- shocks be damned.

Dan's reaction to people in the group would be as follows:

Lyca- Perfect. He can work with her, no problem. She tripped him, and his ribs are still bruised so that hurt, dammit.

Jerome - As long as he's not an idiot, he's cool.

Mia - Ditto. Do the work, Dan won't care.

Mitch - Buddy! Dan is totally cool with that. All his allies in one place, what could possibly go wrong?

Micah - Shit. Did I speak too soon? He doesn't know about the shower thing, does he?

Jamie- Fuck.

lol Lyca would probably try to include Jamie in make him less irritated, or just make fun of him for being a snot
she'd probably tease Mitch too for getting his balls snatched by Cassie

Dan will be able to connect the dots between Mitch and Cassie, and probably be like Is that the Cassie that Nora keeps name dropping?.

lol he'd be like "no thank you?? I like my balls?!"

Mia will be slow to catch onto things at first, not knowing the intensity of the competition. She will try to follow everyone's lead and make it look like she knows what she is doing.
She will put her two cents in however when she feels like she has a good idea or a sense of where the hidden stones might be.
She will try to stay away from any bickering that Dan and Jamie will get into.

But you know Lyca would bring her into it

Because there is no way Lyca is dealing with these petty boys on her own. She's had years to deal with Dan and Jamie by herself. Someone else should have to suffer too.

Micah, obviously is not having it with Mitch, cause fuck him. Who cares about Mitch? He just copied him from the second he left the womb.

Dan is also on his shit list. Probably fuck around with him and pretend to be Mitch from time to time.

But he will try for an alliance with Jamie, because word has it that he's enemies with Dan.

Mia won't want to get in any of the fueds between Mitch and Micah, or Dan and Jamie. Feeling like Lyca understands what is going on, she will recognize that Dan and Lyca are close due to their playful conversations.
Being more of the quiet one, Mia will try to talk to Jerome about where the hidden stones may be.

Mitch hates Micah, obviously, so this is a massive challenge thank you very much. His nose is probably taped down, though, so telling them apart becomes easier (except he'd probably be the guy who'd rip off the tape and hope everything would go back to normal)
Gets along with Dan as per usual, the dudes cool. Doesn't have any beef with Jamie, but ooooooh that's the old friend Dan had been talking smack about. Alright alright alright.
Probably lowkey hits on Lyca, but is super hesitant because she is as much of a badass as that monster Cassie what's-her-face.

Honestly, as much as each of the four boys wants to win, they'd probably end up making passive aggressive comments the entire time. Or end up in a big fight when one of them says something that ticks off their respective enemy.

Lyca would definitely flirt back with Mitch, because that's just her personality
I feel like she's so easy-going and humorous, she might just be the perfect middle person to pull the group together to actually work well

Subtlety has never been Dan's strong suit.
There is also a 100% chance that if they had to climb up something to grab a stone, Dan would tell Micah or Jamie that they should climb up, because "who knows? You might find your balls up there with the stone" before scaling the thing himself like the little showoff he is.

Lyca would just be rolling her eyes like jfc can you guys stop making petty digs at each other you're slowing us downnn

Jerome can appear to have a hive mentality- whatever the group's ideas are he seem to take them on. Whatever the plan is he adopts it as his own and doesn't question it, unless of course what they plan to do is absolutely ridiculous. In which case he'll shut his mouth and keep on truckin'.
It is likely that he won't be making too many opinionated comments, nor will he be so talkative- jeez he hardly has any gin in him and he's running on a couple precious hours of sleep. He will stick to his observations of people and just watch them as they tick. He can be consoling and a voice of reason, but he also wants to learn everyone's weaknesses in this group dynamic

He would definitely talk to Mia about possible hidden stones too, but in a way that wasn't too loud or noticeable to the others. He's an engaged listener who builds well off of other people's ideas and quite good at connecting the dots

Since Mia is quiet, and not partaking in much conversation, besides from the ideas that she shares with Jerome. She will be looking out for the other teams, trying to move the group away from the others to not start any trouble and keep the team focused instead of starting a fight with an opposing team. She doesn't want to lose the band that is around her wrist, she would hate to be disqualified in the first competition she partakes in.

In the case that a stone is in a difficult place, or dangerous area, Mia may try to get it herself, without consulting the others, thinking that she can handle the task by herself. She doesn't do this in order to show off nor does she think she doesn't need anyone's help. But she doesn't want to burden the team if she thinks she can get to it without causing a fuss. This may lead her to get physically hurt in some way, but, she did get the stone. Maybe she'll learn that next time, just to ask for help.

So overall this group would probably be semi-productive. Besides the passive aggressive comments and whatever else, this group does seem to have some athletes and at least a few brains between the few of them. Not to mention if some of the charries are more passive and willing to be told what to do, as opposed to everyone wanting to be the leader.

Lyn, did you want Mia to get hurt? because that would be something to include here

If by semi-productive you mean that Dan and Mitch would try to outdo Jamie and Micah in finding the stones and vice versa, then yes. We'll see if they can actually stand to be around each other long enough to actually get this done.

So they would definitely still finish, but maybe she would need assistance walking towards the end of the night?

Yea, that would be it. She would bandage her leg from some cloth that she tore off and then start walking. She would get by with limping but without any medicine I think the pain would increase that she needs at the very least a supporting arm. But she will finish, she handles pain well.
