I like the humor - "Master of the Dark Arts?" "I'm getting new cards printed..."

In the Hellblazer series, there is always a coming apocalypse. There will be a lot to draw on from the DC heroes as well since just about every one of them has had an appearance in his stories.
If it reaches a second season, and I hope it does since NBC requested a full season worth of scripts, we will probably see Deadman show up unless they do it this season.
There is talk of Swamp thing, but too early to tell. and as I have mentioned to Erin, the talk of a Dr. Fate spin off show. Yesss!!!!

I like the humor - "Master of th..."
Yeah I chuckled at that too, as well as the strange angel character.

Yeah I saw that as well and wondered about it.

In the Hellblazer series, there is always a coming..."
With the other DC shows I watch, I at least have seen the characters in other formats and know something about them. Constantine is a first for me where everything will be new, a surprise of sorts.

Unfortunately the ratings aren't doing too well, so not sure if it's going to make it.

There is no reason why NBC cant do the same thing. They seem to keep the sophomoric comedies on which I think is a waste of time. Sure the rating for them might be good, but they forget about the people that want to see something better than just putting your brain on a slab in front of the tv while these shows play.
That is a bit severe sounding, but over the years, its the way that it just seems to play out.
No reflection of course on present company just in case. lol
Its just my rant. you know that.:)

Unless a show is doing atricious, it would be nice if a network would give it at least a two season chance. We shall see.

Let's hope so - it's a show needs to spread its wings for a bit before really taking off, I think.

Not necessarily meaning it will be cancelled as a guarantee, but the possibility is there.

While they didn't actually bring that character in they did hint at it and gave some of the older fans a real treat with the Black Diamond.

They say that if it goes over to the cable station it would keep the same cast and writers, where it can take on a darker side as well as explore more of what the storylines in the comic has. The final part is the name would change from Constantine to Hellblazer.
I want to jump for joy, but its not a given. Yet, I have high hopes since NBC has at least bothered to mention it. We can only hope.

I was getting more into the show but could live without it. Out of the 2014 fall season, I found this one the disappointing turnout, but it was still enjoyable enough to be watchable.
At least there's not a massive cliffhanger...

The official word is that NBC will make its decision on Constantine in May.
For me, it means that they have hope for it and are trying to find a place for it. Other wise it would have been canceled right away.
I am hoping that it will end up on Sci-fi channel. It really would give them carte blanch to do the show they way it needs to be done instead of having to follow regular broadcast rules guidelines.
I just cant fathom how NBC and other networks leave some of the lamest sitcoms ever on year after year but a good quality show comes along and they throw it by the wayside.
I hope they Keep it cause my son Hunter loves it and he doesn't like too many of the things I like. He does love The Flash though and Scorpion.

I always meant to get into the Hellblazer comics. Another thing on the "one day" list.

I know that if they go into another season they plan on bringing in part of the justice league dark which could bring in swamp thing who he is tied too closely.

Who knows if it will be picked up by anyone else, hopefully.

Some people are thinking they are gauging interest before investing in the actual show. We'll see though.
