Scary as I have no idea what to expect, though one of the facilitators said it should be humorous...not exactly what I would expect from the title...
This was a total waste of my time! I hated this book so much I couldn't manage to give it even one star. TRIGGER WARNING: Animal/Pet and Death. UGH!

I've come up with a few ideas for 8, but I've read them all. The ones I thought of were (also mentioned by a previous commenter) Chocolat, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (or its sequel), Mathilda, Boy (the autobiography of Roald Dahl in his younger years, you can definitely see where he got some of his ideas from!), and The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. I really enjoyed all of these books

As for ideas for #8... two books I read this month featured characters with a sweet tooth. The Spellman Files and The Haunting of Tram Car 015 and I would highly recommend either one.

Just completed #7 (unsure whether hero or villain) - The Testaments by Margaret Atwood. This was everything I wanted and more! Overall, I found this to be a slightly more hopeful book than Handmaid's Tale and gave a bit more of a conclusion. I'm really glad I finished the most recent season of the show before I read this book. Definitely worth reading! 4.5 stars
