On one hand, no. Legally, he went to his death punished for a crime he didn't commit. But on the other hand, there was justice of the heart. The woman he had always loved will now raise the child he had come to love. I need someone to write a fanfic version where Hayes lives and finds his way back to Katherine.

Hayes found his own justice. He made peace with himself, turning his life around completely. He could have easily turned bitter and sought revenge but chose not to.
There was something poetic about those complicit in framing Nicholas ending up being killed by one of their partners in crime and Sebastian ending his life with a simple dagger.

Some things about Hayes background reminded me of the hero in Whispers of Heaven (by C S Harris writing under name Candice Proctor).
