Magic Bites
question
Will the later books be as gory?

I just finished Magic Bites, and I'm fortunate my copy included A Questionable Client and Bonus Material. I like the characters, and although I expected battles and such, for me it got way too gory and violent, all the explicit dissection of body parts, muscles, beheading, bones, etc. It felt more like horror than UF.
I'm a slow reader, so I need to be pretty sure I'll like a book before I tackle it. Reviewers here urge to read book 2, but can you please give me some sense of whether Magic Burns follows in the same vein (haha) with so much violent gore?
Thanks

I think this book was definitely the most gory out of the others that I've read so far (I'm on book 6 or 7). That being said, the following books still have descriptions of people being ripped up and Kate getting hurt, but I think this one was the most intense about it.
If you don't like gory, then you should probably stay away from the Kate Daniels series
