Well, we have a topic called nostalgia rn and nothing bad has happend so far so, if something bad does happen our group of moderators will either remove the comment or delete the topic :-)

Hi! I saw a Tik Tok recently about annotating a book and giving it as a gift to someone. My best friend’s 17th birthday is coming up soon and I was wondering if you all had any book recommendations for me to do this with. The only problem is I am not a big reader at all and have no idea where to start!! I was thinking YA Fiction with strong elements/ themes like: life long friendship, teenage dreams, maturity and growing up, loyalty, living life to the fullest, a sister-like relationship, or anything of the sort. We have known each other essentially our entire lives, and next year we will be going into our senior year of high school. I truly do apologize if this is the wrong place to reach out for help, I just didn’t know here else to go or who to ask. I really think she would enjoy this and am so great for for anything you guys have in mind. Thanks!

I don't know why, but as I was reading your post, I started thinking about my book, Legal Crime becuase it covers some themes like that xD
It might also encourage your friend to start writing because I'm doing a lot of work to inspire other teenagers to become published authors, as a thirteen-year-old myself :)

P.S. Happy birthday in advance to your bestie 🎉🎈🎊
Hey Jordyn!! What you’re doing for your friend is amazing! A true way to show your friendship!! For books with a major friendship theme- I can’t stop thinking The Return of the King but that might be because I’m a little biased with Lord of the Rings. But Sam and Frodo’s relationship is probably the strongest out of any characters I’ve read about and what they go through is life binding. I feel like the two towers would also work because a lot of their struggles are included in the second half of it, but the main stuff goes down in the return of the king. And also Merry and Pippin are great friends and have some amazing moments that would be fun to comment on.I also feel like one of the Harry Potter books would work and you know, everyone knows Harry Potter so I feel like it could be an easy and good choice.
We are also reading little women as a group rn and I’m currently only like 50 pages in but so far the whole story is about the sisters friendship. You may want to ask the group if that would be a good choice though because I wouldn’t really know.
This means so much to me, thank you worlds!! Also congrats on your book, that is such a great accomplishment for someone your age!! (I’ll pass the well wishes along ;)
Thank you Maya! That seems to be a very fair bias to have lmao. I’ll certainly look into and consider those options :))))
Hi! I have a suggestion, maybe the group can have some topics about books and authors for we talk about ;)

Ayathma wrote: "A birthday calendar so we can wish a happy birthday 🎂"That's an amazing idea! I'll create a new topic and send out a poll :)
Eva wrote: "I was thinking maybe we could have a place just for practicing new languages with each other?"Well, we'll be doing a TAFAL (teach a friend a language) thing very soon, so it's all in the planning stages currently :)
Eden wrote: "2021 reading tracker?"Interesting idea, but how would that work as a topic? Or were you suggesting it as something else?
Ny wrote: "This is just a mod question….What are our August BOTMs??"The Wicked King, We Were Liars, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo:)
Ebony and Ivory wrote: "I don't read a lot of the really popular stuff that would be cool"Ooh, that would be cool! I'll add it :)
Would you rather game? someone ask a would you rather question and the person who answer the question get to ask another would you rather question
Himanshi wrote: "Poetry corner? name it as Slam. I hope you guys have read Slammed by Colleen Hoover."Would it be a place to discuss poetry or write poetry as we already have a poetry discussion topic?
Himanshi wrote: "Would you rather game? someone ask a would you rather question and the person who answer the question get to ask another would you rather question"Sure, great idea. I love WYR (I also love Truth or Dare but it's pretty hard to do that here... unless the dare is like 'put this as your profile pic' or something. Worth considering...)!
Would it be a place to discuss poetry or write poetry as we already have a poetry discussion ..."Write poetry
