With the onset of Corona Virus, everything became digital, whether it's work or studies.
What is your preference? What do you think, is this digitilazation is for better or for worse?

How has online work/studies affected you, negatively or positively?

Shawna Finnigan (sugoishawn) | 945 comments I've been doing online school on and off since the tenth grade due to health issues, so things didn't change too much for me during this pandemic. I don't really have a preference between which one I like. They're both okay and in college you can just use ratemyprofessor so you won't necessarily have your learning effected too badly if you choose a good professor.

I think overall digitalization is a mixed bag for the world. Some people need it for health issues, but for other people, constantly having to look at screens and the lack of social interaction can be really bad.

BiBookDemon I'm currently doing online learning. I'm actually really glad because it has helped me decide that I'm going to do it again next year. I prefer it to in-person learning. I'm an introvert, always have been, and large groups are a little harder for me to deal with. I've also always been bullied, but this year I wasn't. I feel better. I'm more of a hands-on person, but the good things of online learning outweigh that fact. I like that I'm on my own schedule. I can get more work done and read a bunch!!! :)

I am doing online learning this year as well, and I honestly hate it. Being an extrovert, I hate being on my own and having to do studies independently.
But it's not only that, the online school where I'm learning at is so disorganized and the layout is bad. Multiple glitches per day does not help either lol.
I probably would have enjoyed it more if it was more structured and easier to navigate.
I can't wait to return to in-person learning next year.

Austin George | 471 comments Corona virus has been a blessing in disguise for me. Though I started going to office regularly from August last year, I am having less work compared to pre Corona days and still I get the same emolument every month. I get plenty of time to browse Goodreads and Wikipedia at work. Lol.

I liked to work from home during lockdown days. I used to work fast at home in order to read books. At work, I get slowed down by colleagues chit chatting with me, even though I am more of a listener than a big talker. Also I feel sleepy in the afternoon and I don't like to work during that time of the day. By working at home I could choose my preferred time.

But still I feel going to office 2-3 days a week would be nice catching up with colleagues. At present I have no work from home option, so it's a mundane routine 6 days a week.

Luna (luna13) I'm a bit mixed.

I'm a big introvert and homebody so it's personally way better to type my thoughts through the chatbot instead of doing a presentation in front of everyone. Plus: there's no rush in the morning and I don't have to wake up as early. But on the other hand I get distracted really easily so it doesn't help that I have a laptop in front of me. With in-person it's much more easier to stay focused. With online school, it doesn't feel like real-school so I can't take it as seriously and pay attention as much. There's also less deadlines for hw this year so I got to procrastinate 2x more which stresses me out in the long run. I was also getting sick of staring at the screen all day.

All in all I have to say I prefer in-person (which we're doing next year :D)
