Who are the Members of the Month?
We value each member of our group who actively participates and contributes something to the group, in one way or the other. To honor and recognise such Members, we award Member of the Month title to 2 Members each month.
How do we decide our Members of the Month?
The Mods make the decision with careful consideration and it's unbiased. We consider the following things to select our Members of the Month:-
1. BOTM Participation: How much active have you been in BOTM discussions? Although we understand that not every month your choice of book is read in the group, but we read 3 BOTMs and surely we believe you can find at least 1 of your interest. This is a major deciding factor for our Members of the Month.
2. Random Discussions & Debates: Do you express your thoughts and opinions in most discussion topics/debates? Expressing your thoughts is a nice way to connect with similar minded people. This is also a major deciding factor for our Members of the Month.
3. Select Book Discussions: Do you express your views about the books you have read? This being a reader's community, book discussions play a major role in deciding our Members of the Month.
4. Buddy Reads: How often do you Buddy Read books with other fellow readers? It's one of the best ways we know of connecting with readers who have similar book interests and is a major group activity.
5. Challenges: How much do you participate in group challenges? It's not possible to participate in each challenge but we surely notice who participates the most and whenever possible. This is also an important deciding factor for our Members of the Month.
6. Group Contests: Do you participate in group contests? Not everyone of us is able to do this so this is a minor factor in deciding Members of the Month, though the participants don't go unnoticed by us.
7. Other Miscellaneous Discussions: We take into account other discussions going in the group, such as movies, characters, book v/s adaptations etc. and these add to your original activity.
8. Games and Reviews: These are minor considerations in deciding our Members of the Month as these are meant for fun and self promotion. That is not to say your participation goes unnoticed. It certainly adds to your original activity.
We also take into consideration, the past activity and not only pertaining the said Month, so if the member has been an active participant in last few months, they have a higher chance of being selected.
