#Ancientsathon 2021! discussion

Whether it's ancient Greek drama or Shakespeare, this prompt is all about reading plays.

I decided to read "Wasps, Lysistrata and Other Plays" by Aristophanes for this prompt.

I'm also thinking of picking up Lysistrata. It's been sitting on my shelf for a long time. I might also read some Shakespeare, probably Twelfth Night.

I'm definitely going to pick up the Oresteia! I've read all of Agamemnon and fragments of the other plays in classics courses, but I'm excited to read them all in their entirety.

I would like to read Sophocles, specifically his non-Theban plays. I read the Theban plays (or Oedipus cycle) last year. Now my goal is to complete the rest.

The Oresteia, Aeschylus.

I'm 99% certain that I will be reading Everyman for this prompt!

Not sure if I'll actually get to it but I just picked up Medea and Other Plays by Euripides so it's an option

I'm going the obvious route for this prompt and picking Shakespeare. I think I'll pick up Julius Ceasar first, but maybe I can also get to Macbeth.

I am going with the obvious as well, Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice".
