Ezeekat's Book Club discussion

Obviously with it being Pride Month we were going to pick a Queer book, but the question was "Which one?" for quite a long time. At first, I thought it would be fun to pick a super loud, proud book, but as I started to look into Pride 2021, I realized that this year's theme was "The Fight Continues." I can think of no better book to fit this theme than Indivisible by Daniel Aleman. Not only does this book feature a gay main character, it also deals with much bigger human rights issues involving immigration and family.

Daniel Aleman's Indivisible is a remarkable story -- both powerful in its explorations of immigration in America and deeply intimate in its portrait of a teen boy driven by his fierce, protective love for his parents and his sister.
