I love to read books where if something can go wrong, for the heroine, it does. For example she may get stuck in the rain on her way to work, or she gets fired. If anyone has som recs with the heroine having a bad day I would be grateful. I prefer contemporary romance, but anything will do.

I seem to remember a book where the heroine's bra strap broke at her work. But I don't remember what the title is. Or if it is a short story or a full length.
Hahaha! Me too! Which is why I remember that scene. I want to reread it, but I have no idea what the title or who author is. :)
Agnes and the Hitman Well, actually a lot of books by Jennifer Crusie have the heroine having a bad day (week, month, year . . .)
I am so excited I have started a list of books read! Thanks for the help!!! :)
You might like books by Lindsey Kelk Her series of books about Angela Clark always involve ridiculous, embarrassing things happening to Angela, from man trouble to weird events at work.

, our heroine has several bad days, and I found it hilarious but I wouldn't say everything goes wrong. The whole series is funny but I don't recommend reading Pirate Dave and his Randy Adventures.
Try the Heather Wells series by Meg Cabot. Starts with Size 12 Is Not Fat. They are hilarious. Once teen pop star, now college dorm RA, solves crimes after falling into the middle of everything through lots of bad luck. Seriously, they are so funny. I love them.
My grandma had her granny knickers snap as she was walking down the sidewalk. She did pause, just walked right on out of them!Janet Evanovich has her Stephanie plum series. The first 12 or so books are hilariously funny, with multiple bad days for poor old Steph. The rest are still ok, it's just that she forgets to advance the main plot.
Perfection (above) is good too. Both the R.L. Mathewson series are good, with probably a fair few of her h's coping a lot from all comers.
Not sure if these are 'he type' of bad days you're looking for... There are some pretty rough ones in them.
Bridal Bargains: The Tycoon's Bride / The Purchased Wife / The Price Of A Bride
And lots of bad days thru most of Marie Kelly's books. Her earlier books are edit-aly challenged, but still good characters.
Lobstergirl wrote: "One day at work my underwear broke. Not to hijack the thread, I'm just saying."Well if you ever decide to cycle to work you either need to have waterproof overt-rousers or spare underwear in your bag. In case both options are not available stapling will not help you.
I am happy I posted this. I love books that make me laugh! Thanks for all the suggestions. :)
One plus one by jojo moyes is a great contemporary read, unsticky by sarra manning is also a good its like the movie pretty women but in today's modern time .
In Earthly Delights, Corinna Chapman has to perform CPR on a stranger in the alley behind her bakery and things go down from there. It's the first in a series where things frequently go hay-wire for Corinna and her friends.
