I just finished Indivisible by Daniel AlemanI'm now reading The Carnivorous Lamb by Agustin Gomez-Arcos
I try to pick a few M/M romances to red in Feb, but Barbra's 960 memoir has me getting off to a late start! First up is a YA book focusing on a trans boy, called, "The Feeling of Falling in Love. I am 100 pages in and have yet to fall in love with it yet, but hoping it gets better. After this is Red, White, and Royal Blue. Made the mistake of watching the movie first and loving it, so now I have to read the book. (In my denfse, I never watch the movie first, but after reading, "Boyfriend Material," and a few other popular M/M romances and not really liking much about them, I thought R, W, and RB, would be more of the same, but I adored the movie!!
im reading The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet right now :D space operas are a ton of fun, and i’m looking forward to reading hitchhikers guide to the galaxy next
I'm reading The Grace Yearby Kim Liggett and it's a really good book! It's not an LGBTQ+ book (but maybe it is actually, I just began) but it's a VERY feminist book.
I’m reading “as good as dead” the third book of the good girls guide to murder series. So far so good! This is my 10th book of 2024 🥹
Lauren wrote: "I’m reading “as good as dead” the third book of the good girls guide to murder series. So far so good! This is my 10th book of 2024 🥹" Oh! I'm also reading the series A Good Girl's Guide To Murder (the first volume) but I'm focused more about The Grace Year because I borrowed it in a library and I have to return this book in the end of the month.
I'm currently reading an advanced copy of An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson, which is my 19th book of the year! The actual pub date is in 2 days, so I figured I ought to get it in while my copy could still be considered advanced. 😅
I recently finished some ARC reads that will be coming out this month:- Royal Defender by Cecelia Storm
- UnConVentional Kiss by Katherine McIntyre
- To Catch a Firefly by Emmy Sanders
- Divided by B.L. Maxwell
Rhiannon wrote: "I'm currently reading an advanced copy of An Education in Malice by S.T. Gibson, which is my 19th book of the year! The actual pub date is in 2 days, so I figured I ought to get it in while my copy..." omg, I loved A Dowry of Blood. I'll have to buy that once it's out!
I'm kind of straddling four books.I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast Is Me
My leisure read that may take me a little while, but would totally recommend to this book club!
The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict: What Everyone Needs to Know?
What we're currently reading in the Diversity, Equity, and Anti-Racist Literature (DEAL) book club that I am a member of.
Smoke
Part of my Neighborly Book Exchange where we trade books every month.
The Slab
I'm reading this for my husband because the Gears of War video game franchise is very near to his heart.
I'm reading All Boys Aren't Blue by George M. Johnson now since February is Black History Month in the US. The book is also one of the most banned books in the country.
Now reading Endpapers: A Novel by Jennifer Savran Kelly, about a genderqueer book conservator who becomes curious after finding a queer love letter in an old book
finished Enter Ghost by Isabella Hammadcurrently reading Chain-Gang All-Stars and Erasure
next will probably be a Toni Morrison novel
To cleanse the palate of the sh*tshow that was Alpha of Mortal Flesh by Ben Alderson (I advise against reading it), I've finished reading Devil's Chew Toy by Rob Osler (which I highly recommend, it's just so cute)
If you haven’t already read it, check out https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2.... STR8 Up Queer Africa. It’s a collection of short stories and essays by an award-winning transmasculine playwright. It’s heart-wrenching and unflinching in its honesty.
-Forget Me Notby Alyson Derrick who wrote with Rachael LippincottShe Gets the Girl-A Good Girl's Guide to Murderby Holly Jackson
-La promesse de l'aubeby Romain Gary
I finished reading The Henna wars like a week ago and now I’m reading Harry Potter and the Goblet Of Fire but it’s taking me long because it’s in Finnish and I’m a slow reader in Finnish😭
Recently read: Interesting Facts about Space- Emily R. Austin
Study You by Melissa Tereze
Currently reading: Written in the Stars-Alexandria Bellefleur.
Noah wrote: "I'm reading "she who became the sun" by Shelley Parker-Chan at the moment :> I'm in the last quarter, it's good so far -- even if I have semi-regular no clue what's going on (I'm REALLY bad with na..." Now it's in my to-read list! :-)
Bill wrote: "Ending the month reading Peter Darling by Austin Chant; a queer continuation of the Peter Pan story"Now in my to-read list too!
I’m reading “The Education of Pip” by Sarah Wallace! It’s a cozy queer fantasy romance set in regency England. ☺️
I'm making my way through the "Temeraire" series by Naomi Novik (Basically the Napoleonic wars but what if there were dragons?), and just started the "Murderbot" series!
