I'd put Boudica under history rather than myth/folklore. She was certainly all too real for the Romans :-)
I saw Boudica mentioned here and I just finished reading "Dreaming the Eagle," the first of Manda Scott's series on her.
Susanna wrote: "Was it good?"It was okay. It focused on her early years before she even became known as Boudicca. Some parts were quite interesting, others fell flat for me. But I do intend on reading the rest of the series (three more books).
Vanessa Collingridge wrote a book on Boudicca - a good start for those unfamiliar - a waste of time for those who are.
There is also The Eagle and the Raven. Boudicca is a supporting character. Book is good. There is also a chapter on Boudicca in The Warrior Queens

One of the most famous of these is, of course, King Arthur.
King Arthur is a legendary British leader who, according to medieval histories and romances, led the defense of Britain against the Saxon invaders in the early 6th century. The details of Arthur's story are mainly composed of folklore and literary invention, and his historical existence is debated and disputed by modern historians.
