The protagonist (who is female) has a best friend with traffic cone orange nails and a "skunk" highlight in her hair.
The protagonist goes away from her home to live at another house in a small town with one(?) of her parents.
The protagonist finds a diary from the girl who lived there before her (for some reason my brain is telling me her name is Cora, that could be completely wrong), who tells something about an irritating boy and coins. The story flips between the protagonist and the diary entries (I believe).
The protagonist meets a boy.
The protagonist has nightmares about the house burning down.
At the climax of the book, the house burns down and she is forced to jump out of a window, breaking her leg.
I don't know if anyone can find this based off of only that, but if you could that owuld be wonderful. Thanks yall!
