Hi Mary, I loved The Count of Monte Cristo and Circe. You've got a lot of biographies that I want to read on your list too. I'll be eager to see what you think of them. Happy reading.
I have a few of these on my tbr, so I will definitely be looking forward to your thoughts in the coming year.
Good luck and happy reading, Mary! ☺️
Good luck and happy reading, Mary! ☺️
I've only read Case Histories and thought it was great. I really should check out something by Jon Meacham. I always thought he was very interesting when I've seen him interviewed. Happy reading.
Loved Case Histories, Frozen River, & Circe. Hope you enjoy them and all those on your list as well.Happy Reading!

I am currently reading Washington by Chernow and it's amazing. Have to continue my founding fathers quest. Thanks for the encouragement!

Thanks for the encouragement!"I've got Washington by Chernow on my individual list and I'm really excited about it. I've only read Hamilton by him, but I loved it and I keep meaning to read more books. I'm so glad to hear you are loving it. I also almost had the book by Meachum on my list. I'm casually trying to read about the presidents - too many other challenges going to say it's a focus at this point...but I'm currently reading Mornings on Horseback and I am loving it so far. Happy reading!!
Thanks, Lea for the tip Mornings on Horseback I've added it to my list. I went to DC in October for the first time and went out to Mt. Vernon which was amazing. I also went to the Library of Congress and saw Jefferson's library - I was a complete nerd and loved it. All those founding fathers are fascinating. I hope you enjoy Washington- we'll have to discuss!
I've read There There and Say Nothing... both excellent books. Many of your others are already on my TBR-- I will be watching to see what you think.

There's so much to see and do in DC, I'd love to go back for another visit.
Let's definitely talk when we both read Washington this year. :-)
Regarding The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory: American Evangelicals in an Age of Extremism I gave it 4 stars. If you seeking to understand the history and politics of what has gone on on Evangelical Churches in America, Alberta's book is thoughtful and we'll researched.

I really enjoyed The Frozen River Great story and interesting window into the period, 1780's Maine. I liked knowing that the main character was an actual person and that she did in fact keep a daybook.

I am way behind, but I think I can do it now that most of my garden is being put to bed. I was OUTSIIIDDDEE. Hehheehe..... :D
I don't think I read too much of anything for like 3-4 months. Now, I HAVE to read 7 books from each challenge, just to meet the 12 on each of those lists. What was I thinking??
*cries*
