I'm still not a fan of Sam. Love Nick and the kids. The mystery in this one was pretty good, but the soap opera that is their lives is still overshadowing any mystery plot.

I have no idea why Force makes Sam so obnoxious. Her behavior is childish except when she’s being Mom. I’m hoping she tones it down in the spinoff.

I have the same feelings as Anita and Jonetta. I'm not a Sam fan at all. The only time we see Sam's heart is with her father and the children. She is more flexible with Nick, but even then, she can be offputting sometimes.

I did like this mystery. It was well done and one of the best in the series.

An awful victim with a ton of possible suspects…it came down to the procedurals and good detective work (thank you, Cameron). Just the way I prefer.

OK, I am done with the series and will not be continuing. I cannot stand Sam and her behavior.

Now that I'm done, I might give Lisa Regan's series another go.

Lisa Regan's series is fantastic. I'm cheap and I'm buying the books, it's that good. Very good mystery plots with a flawed heroine.

I rarely buy books, saving my Audible credits for the 2-for-1 sales. I’m using full credits for the Lisa Regan series.

Sam has been irritating me for a while now. I'm surprised the author makes her act so entitled. She gets away with too much.

The last few books have taken me a long time to get through. I like the mystery, but the rest of the stories have been too much of the same thing for me. I'm going to pass on the next series.

LOL I confess, I'm cheap too. I'm also buying the Lisa Regan books each month. I'm loving them so far.
