NO. If it was do you really think anyone would choose it?! I mean no one WANTS to be hated and discriminated and told they're going to hell but we ARE.
to be honest, i'm not sureI think you were born with it, or a subconscious reaction, but it's not a conscious choice that you can make!!
Yes, being QUEER is a choice. Queer is a political movement, that you choose to joinYou can be gay without being queer. You can be gay, and conservative (like the good majority of gay men 😭😭😭😭) lol
Queer is a choice. Gay is just who you're attracted to and has nothing to do with politics, unless you choose to make it so, which is a choice so queer
Mini, queer is a not a political movement i thought, its just the opposite of being straight.Definition:
denoting or relating to a sexual or gender identity that does not correspond to established ideas of sexuality and gender, especially heterosexual norms:

"This feels like a good place to quickly skim over trans scientific research. I
say skim not because I want to rush over it (I did a PhD: I love a good bit of
science), but because, as trans people, we don’t need to rely on peerreviewed papers to know who we are. However, it can sometimes be
reassuring to know you’re not alone or ‘weird’ for feeling how you feel.
Many papers support that socially and medically transitioning reduces
dysphoria and increases the wellbeing of trans people.fn1 Some papers
strongly support a biological basis of gender identityfn2 and suggest that
being trans is a result of hormone exposures when you’re developing in the
womb.fn3 Some scientific research has found similarities in the brain
structures of trans women and cis women.fn4 Not to toot my own horn, but
my own research supports this pattern too, where trans men’s arousal
patterns were more similar to what you’d see from cis men rather than cis
women.fn5 That’s all pretty cool if you ask me! But again, scientific papers
aren’t the golden nugget you need to fully understand who you are (sorry).
It’s more of an internal research process that you have to carry out for that
one." - Jamie Raines, The T in LGBT

No mini is right queer is the lgbt political activist. Like there are trans who are not queer and just want to be left alone.

No it isn’t 😭
Being queer means: individuals whose sexual orientation or gender identity falls outside of what is considered "straight" and "cisgender" (matching their assigned sex at birth). its not a political movement it is a term used for people under the lgbtq+ umbrella
Queer is a broad political term, thats where it originates and thats the original defntionOfc, people interpret words differently like skme people think a woman is different to what others think a wkman is
Also LGBTQ+ is a political term, lolIt is possible to divorce your sexual identity from politics, yes, but people who call themselves queer are using a political term
Look i didnt go into their gender identity. They had a girlfriend and identified as straight and queer. I mean i think his girlfriend is Bi?
Austin wrote: "Yes but queer has been reclaimed to be a political term"by who? 😭😭 people are trying to make it political, when in reality the definition is far from political. it's a term used for people under the lgbtq+ umbrella
Austin wrote: "Yes but queer has been reclaimed to be a political term"It can be, but I don't really understand how it can be political because it isn't related to really any types of politics. I may be wrong, but it probably isn't a political term. It just refers to a group of people, not government.
im sorry but this topic is really stupid o,o. wherever you research its going to say something on the lines that Being queer means: individuals whose sexual orientation or gender identity falls outside of what is considered "straight" and "cisgender" (matching their assigned sex at birth).
Austin wrote: "Yes and the lgbt is a political group"bro literally how?? it isn't relating to politics at all, at least to my knowledge
Austin wrote: "Look mini knows gay conservatives. They are Gay not queer and they are against queers."how is that possible?
Griffin wrote: "Your making shit upQUEER IS JUST A WAY TO IDENTIFY NOT A POLITICAL STATEMENT"
I agree < / 3

THANK YOU
what are we supposed to identify as if lgbtq+ AND queer are both political?? why does it even have to be political in the first place
I would like some sources please, on how being queer is political, because it is not and we have proven that several times now.People whom we cant verify with misunderstanding and calling themselves gay not queer is not a source.
Austin wrote: "Look mini knows gay conservatives. They are Gay not queer and they are against queers."genuinely how is that possible? i don't think they know the definition of queer lol, because they are literally against themselves

❤¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪《Tessie》♪♫•*¨*•.¸¸❤ wrote: "You can be queer and conservative i think... but like... you cant be gay and not queer."Well, no, a lot of gay people are not queer. A lot. Queer means a member of the lgbtq+ community. Many find the community too politicised, so are not queer. They are just gay. They like men or whatever and dint think it has anything to do with being in a collective pressure group
