Emily Eastman | 20 comments I have to say my favorite book so far is Belle: Retellin of Beauty and the Beast. I LOOOVED that book. It's really good and if you haven't read it, read it!

I love that one too, though my fav is probably... hmmm... it's hard. I think I'd have to say Snow

message 3: by Erica (storybookend) (last edited Jun 19, 2010 07:28AM) (new)

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments My favorite is probably Before Midnight. Then Golden, then Midnight Pearls, then Snow. And the Storyteller's Daughter, and Sunlight and Shadow.

message 4: by Klehmenteen (new)

Klehmenteen (kanni) | 4 comments I haven't read the new ones yet, but I am simply in LOVE with Snow. I think that that series is the next on my collecting list. But Snow is amazing. I don't even know why.

message 5: by Samantha (new)

Samantha (samanthan) My favorites so far are Midnight Pearls and Snow. I didn't like Beauty Sleep as much as I thought I would, which was disappointing since Sleeping Beauty is my favorite fairy tale.

message 6: by Elley (new)

Elley Murray (elleyotter) I probably loved Midnight Pearls the MOST. I just collected most of these books, and I'm going to re-read them all in the next month or so. HOORAY! =)

lucky! I really need to get them together soon.

message 8: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Roberts | 1 comments I have too many favorites! So far they are Snow, Wild Orchid, Storyteller's Daughter, Rose Bride and Spirited. I still have a few to read though.

message 9: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
I agree. They're all too good.

message 10: by Emily (last edited Apr 20, 2010 05:58PM) (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments I have to say now, since I've read all of them besides the new-new ones, I love Snow, Water Song, Storyteller's Daughter, Midnight Pearls, and I LOVED Belle. I would've loved Scarlet Moon except the ending sorta creeped me out. ewwwww. (:

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
what was weird at the end? the grandma helps them. they get married. that's all.

message 12: by Emily (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments no the part where they realize the person aatacking people is her brother and if you go through his thoughts (at the beginning of most chapters) he wants to eat people.

message 13: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
oh. yeah. That was pretty weird.

message 14: by Bianca (new)

Bianca (dizzybee) I like water song and scarlet moon (even with the werid ending!

message 15: by Sarah (last edited Jun 12, 2010 06:30PM) (new)

I need to read Violet Eyes: A Retelling of the "Princess and the Pea"! So it's good?

message 17: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Very good, although I may be kind of biased because Princess and the Pea was always one of my favorite fairytales. :)

message 18: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
lolz. It's in at the lib, but I have to wait til sat. :P

message 19: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Hopefully it'll be worth the wait!

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments I just read Violet Eyes. It was pretty good. It was kind of silly, but was a cute romance :)

message 21: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
I'm about to start it. xD

message 23: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Ooooh! So do I!

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments And I have to say I love the new covers. I love the old ones, but the new ones are so nice and beautiful. In fact, I want copies of every book with the old and new cover. Yeah, I'm a little wierd, but, oh well.

message 25: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Yeah, I agree. I like the old covers, but I also love the new ones. They're very....fairytale-y

message 26: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (cosmororo) | 2 comments hi there i just really got into the retellings of fairy tales i have read Wicked and Beastly and Im about to start a Kiss in time. I was wondering what other ones are out there that you would recommend

message 27: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Hi, Leslie!
I just finished "Sisters Red" by Jackson Pearce (retelling of Little Red Riding Hood), and loved it! I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes fairytale retellings.

message 28: by Leslie (new)

Leslie (cosmororo) | 2 comments Thanks Indigo I will check that out for sure :)

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments I would reccommend The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. I also love Princess Academy by her.

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
I just got and read Violet Eyes: A Retelling of the "Princess and the Pea" last Saturday, and I'll get and read The World Above: A Retelling of "Jack and the Beanstalk" next Saturday. xD

message 31: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Good plan! I still need to plot a way to get my hands on The World Above so I can read it :)

holds are wonderful things. xD

message 33: by Emily (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments I've got to read Violet Eyes, The World Above, and Diamond Secrets. I'm really excited to read Violet Eyes now though cuz it sounds really good.

message 34: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
It's way cute! (Violet Eyes) I loved it. If you like the other books in the series, I think you'll like this one. xD

message 35: by Emily (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments I'm WAY excited for Violet Eyes. I don't know it just looks good. I wish my library had it ):

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments I just read The World Above and I loved it! It was super cute. One of my new favorite Once Upon a Time books.

message 37: by Sarah (new)

Sarah It sounds really good. I'll have to read it!

message 38: by Naomi (last edited Jul 19, 2010 03:50PM) (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
I didn't really get into The World Above. Mostly because I really need to break my awful habit of reading ahead. I think I could finish it now. I really liked it as far as I got. xD

message 39: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Yeah, I always read ahead. It's a bad habit, but I usually can't stop myself.

message 40: by Emily (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments I do sometimes when I can't stand the suspense and just want to know what happens next without reading 20 or so pages.

message 41: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Exactly! I guess I'm just very impatient.

message 42: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
I hate doing it though because as often as not I don't want to finish the book once I've done it. D;

message 43: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 9 comments I used to read a bit of the end of the book i was reading, but i don't do it anymore. I also don't have a favorite book, but i like the Once Upon a Time series in general.

message 44: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
Ok, that was weird. Did anyone else feel like The World Above was both Jack and the Beanstalk and Robin Hood?

Erica (storybookend) | 18 comments It was. I liked it, but yeah, kind of weird. They should have done a seperate book about Robin Hood. Maybe they still will, they have two beauty and the beast books. But, I think the two stories fit well together. I really liked The World Above.

message 46: by Emily (new)

Emily Eastman | 20 comments I think Sprited is also sort of a Poccahontis book too. It's like Beauty and the Beast and Poccahontis all in one just like The World Above.

message 47: by Naomi (new)

Naomi (catfanatic) | 224 comments Mod
Pocahontas is beauty and the beast
