Just ordered all three of our January books from the library and they should be here by Friday, if not sooner! :) Who plans on reading what this month? I always start out ambitious and say that I'm going to read all three, but that doesn't always happen :\

Charmaine (wistad) Anne Marie & I are already reading One Thousand Gifts. That's probably the only one of the three I will read this month. I have some discussion questions I can throw out here, if you want to discuss that one.

I am half way through 1000 Gifts! Will probably finish that one rather quickly now that my library book I had checked out it almost done. Then it's on to Lunch in Paris for me!

Charmaine (wistad) Maybe I should try "Lunch in Paris". I'm not liking :The Dovekeepers" very much. I know that's for February but it's a long book so I thought I'd get a head start. It's a pretty depressing and kind of a creepy story. Lots of "darkness". It's certainly not uplifting or edifying. Not sure I'm going to finish it. When I feel conviction about a book (like: maybe I shouldn't be putting this stuff in my mind)it's probably a good idea to stop reading, right?

It does sound pretty deep, Charmaine... I haven't gotten that one started yet, but honestly, I've picked it up and put it down about 3 times at the library because I just keep thinking I'm not going to like it very much, but at hey - at least you tried and gave it a chance! That's my plan as well :) I forget what the other Feb. books are, but I'm sure there is something in there that will be a better match for you :)
I plan on doing "Lunch in Paris" this week too!
