"The audiobook of this is what made me keep reading tbh, cuz my brain is little and gets tired after reading 10 pages. Nevertheless this book just keeps getting better, sounds lame (or not idk) but when you are reading it feels like you are inside the book - basically really atmospheric." Oct 24, 2020 05:55PM

E.L. James
“I feel the color in my cheeks rising again. I must be the color of The Communist Manifesto.”
E.L. James, Fifty Shades of Grey

Tomasz Jedrowski
“And yet, it occurs to me now that we can never run with our lies indefinitely. Sooner or later we are forced to confront their darkness. We can choose then when, not the if. And the longer we wait, the more painful and uncertain it will be.”
Tomasz Jedrowski, Swimming in the Dark

Scott Heim
“It was a light that shone over our faces, our wounds and scars. It was a light so brilliant and white it could have been beamed from heaven, and Brian and I could have been angels, basking in it. But it wasn’t, and we weren’t.”
Scott Heim, Mysterious Skin

Oscar Wilde
“The fact is that we look back on the ages entirely through the medium of Art, and Art, very fortunately, has never once told us the truth.”
Oscar Wilde, Only Dull People Are Brilliant at Breakfast

Maia Kobabe
“Some people are born in the mountains, while others are born by the sea. Some people are happy to live in the place they were born, while others must make a journey to reach the climate in which they can flourish and grow. Between the ocean and the mountains is a wild forest. That is where I want to make my home.”
Maia Kobabe, Gender Queer: A Memoir
