the relaxation response,
It was stunning to me to consider that the opposite of the fight or flight response would be the relaxation response. You would think this is intuitive and obvious; but it's not. I have huge appreciation for the need to practice the relaxation response

1. Allow thyself to complain of nothing, not even of the weather.
2. Never picture thyself to thyself under any circumstances in which thou art not.
3. Never compare thine own lot with that of another.
