i didn't expect the twist at the end at all! there were moments where the writing felt choppy and stilted, and other moments where the dialogue felt dated, but that was more of a personal issue that i was able to push past. yes, these novels are relics of the past, but the surprise party holds up! however, this DID lead to a reading slump, so i'm putting this omnibus aside for now." — Mar 30, 2023 01:18PM
