Update After Re-read: I never really reviewed this book because I don't typically add any spoilers in my reviews, however it's been a year since this was released. So if you don't want any spoilers, don't read any further. I forgot how amazing this book is, it's really incredible. Minus Tamlin, I do not enjoy him at all. The first few chapters in this book make me want to throttle him for dealing so poorly with Feyre after Under the Mountain. Re-reading this book and seeing how Tamlin treated her so poorly and the reading how perfectly Rhysand knew how to help her, I love it. It was even better reading this a second time. I also forgot how much I love all the other characters; Mor and Amren, Azriel and Cassian. I paid closed attention to their characters while reading the book this time and I found myself really loving all of them. I also love that by the end of this book, Feyre finally feels like she has a family who loves her and accepts her just the way she is. I love how Feyre begins to heal and find herself throughout this book and I really do love her character. And of course Rhysand. I was never a Tamlin fan, not in A Court of Thorns and Roses and certainly not in this book. Rhysand on the other hand, I have always enjoyed. I forgot how funny he is with all his little comments and found myself laughing out loud quite a few times while re-reading this. Overall, this is still by far one of my favorite books and series of all times. The characters, the world-building and of course, The Night Court, Velaris and The House of Mist. Always 5 stars.

Feyre survived the horror of Amarantha’s trials Under the Mountain and has returned to the Spring Court, but at a steep cost to herself. Feyre now has the powers of a High Fae, in her heart she is still human and can’t forget the terrible things Amarantha forced her to do in order to save Tamlin’s people. Feyre also hasn’t forgotten the bargain she made with Rhysand, the High Lord of the Night Court. As Feyre navigates through its dark web of politics, passion and power, a greater evil looms and she may be the key to stopping it . But first she must heal her heart and soul, learn to control the power she now possesses and must decide what she wants her future to look like.

I can't review this book how I want to without spoilers, so if you have read the book and want to read my full review, it is posted on my blog and the link is in my profile. I will say a few things, I adored this book. I loved every single page of it. It's rare that I read a book and don't have a single complaint or "encouragement" about it. Literally, I loved every page, ever chapter and every section of this book. It contains everything that I love about books. The characters are well developed and we learn so much more about them. Feyre becomes a strong, smart and independent woman in this book, which I also love. Once again, Maas's world building and descriptive writing amazes me and brings this whole book to life. While I not so patiently await the third and final book in this series, I look forward to reading her other series, Throne of Glass. If you haven't read this book or A Court of Thorns and Roses, I highly suggest you stop what you are doing and purchase both books! ...more "
