"I’ve devoured the audiobooks of this series at a far faster rate than I’ve updated Goodreads but suffice it to say I’m thoroughly obsessed with Emma M. Lion and am so sad to be nearing the end of what is currently published" — Jan 01, 2026 07:11PM

"okay so i think I kinda like how unhinged this is-would not be surprised by anything happening & that’s kinda the whole premise of the cupboards?
But also dang do these take a turn quickly violence wise😳 not anything out of the fantasy genre norm, but might be a bit startling for younger middle grade readers I’m sure (I was reading among the hidden in elem. school though so man idr what’s normal lol)" — Oct 19, 2025 06:40PM

“Now is the time for courage. We must meet the enemy with steady hearts, for dawn has conquered dark since the Maker spoke the world. The night is deep, but light runs deeper. Let our blades and blood proclaim it!”

“It will,” Wit said, “but then it will get better. Then it will get worse again. Then better. This is life, and I will not lie by saying every day will be sunshine. But there will be sunshine again, and that is a very different thing to say. That is truth. I promise you, Kaladin: You will be warm again.”

“And I think that was the moment I began to suspect that the luck Hawkes spoke of might really only be an awareness, an awareness of grace.”
