So all excited about my new book I drove home and cracked it open almost immediately. I began reading and read maybe the first two chapters and realized that this book is not what I'm into. But I had it and wanted to see if it turned around at any point, and boy am I glad I stuck with it.
I am currently labeling my addiction to this book. It’s so full of action and so well within the realm of what I enjoy reading. When I choose a book the first thing I do is scan the first couple pages for some dialogue. I want a random conversation between two characters. I think it gives me a better feel for what the characters are like. I like to “meet” them blind with no knowledge of who they are what they have been through, it gives me a more honest opinion. I happened to open to a page that I found quite interesting. “We are kinsmen of a sort. We share an enemy. I hear your skills are for hire” (11). I find this interesting because it leads me to so many questions. Who is this enemy” Why do they both dislike this person enough to consider him and enemy? But all these questions are answered later in the book.
I think the theme of this book is logic. The only reason I say logic is because it’s a very hard book to follow and if you don’t have a quick on your toes memory then it might be hard to follow. I really enjoy this book because I love to problem solve. I love to come up with new inventive ways to solve and existing problem. So the problem can be solved one of two ways and my favorite thing to do is to find out which way is the best way. It challenges me and makes me do a lot of critical thinking. This has been an awesome book to read and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a mystery with a lot of problem solving. ...more "
