"A possible theme in lock and key can be accept yourself for who you are or "when life gives you lemons make lemonade". As in when good opportunities come make the most of them. For example,"She was laughing face flushed, as the photographer took another picture... Even if its not what we want, at least it's something. You know?". (368).
