"The first story, "A Christmas Gift" by Ben Alderson and Laura R. Samotin, was super cozy and super cute with a hint of 🌶 at the end. Not spicy so much as steamy, which was nice considering the length of the short. This story is a mini continuation of The Actor and His Secret. The story was incredibly cute in a Hallmark cheesy sort of way. A fantastic way to start the anthology!" — Jan 30, 2026 06:33PM

"Abby wrote me a speech to give you this afternoon. It sounded nice, had lots of stuff about courage and loss and coming together in everyone's time of need. I tore it up and tossed it in the trash can beside my desk.
