A delicate tremor, the tremble of a monarch’s wings, fluttered at the back of my throat as I took in the hacienda.
so. yep i have exactly ONE highlight from this book, and trust me, it wasn't because the writing wasn't good. i actually really loved this author's writing style & the writing techniques she used. the reason i only highlighted a single thing in this book is because. IT. WAS. SO. FRICKING. SCARY. so i forgot. and i instead let myself be drowned by strange haunted houses and lots of blood.
