" If i could give more than 5 stars, i would! This book has had me feeling every emotion known to man. I can't even find words to describe how much I loved reading it. I can't even find words to describe how much I loved reading it. It's so different from the rest of the books in the series. A complete shift in perspective, focusing on healing, friendship and love.

Going into it I was torn on what to think, loved Cassian as a character and was excited to read more about him, but absolutely hated Nesta ever since ACOTAR.

This was basically 751 pages of Nesta Archeron being THE BADDEST BITCH in Prythian. The character development in Nesta from start to finish, is phenomenal. It was like reading two completely different characters. A character i initially hated, quickly became one that i empathised with and actually ended up rooting for.

The healing journey, and female empowerment not just from the female characters but from Cassian especially, and the other winged brothers, actually made my heart swell. Nesta was so determined to get the priestesses to train with her as part of her healing because she figured it would help them feel safe again and regain control of their own bodies. This particular part of the book actually made me feel so many emotions, it was nice to see sisterhood be valued so highly.

Another very positive point is this book is quite literally porn. I thought the other booked had a fair amount of smut, but in comparison to this it was literally NOTHING. Literally every other chapter. Let's goooo. Also when reading it, i thought ACOMAF's chapter 55 was spicy. I now think that chapter is very vanilla after reading the smut in this book. Unreal.

-10/10 for the smut scenes
-10/10 for the slow burn
-10/10 for the sisterhood and female empowerment
-10/10 basically for everything because WOW

It's a shame the series is ended now because I would've liked Elain's story too, whether its her finally accepting the mate bond with Lucien or rejecting it entirely to be with Azriel. (I haven't read Azriel's bonus chapter yet, but i know it exists. I'm about to hunt it down because it's not in my copy RIP) ...more "
