Anyway...a bit of a tangent...Zoe Heller is a well-known journalist in GB, and I have to wonder, after having read her fiction, what kind of experiences she's had as a journalist to create such dark and twisty protagonists...but she does an excellent job of making them seem both sympathetic and three-dimensional. In reading both Notes on a Scandal, and so far in Everything You Know, I find myself rooting for the "bad guy," who turns out not to be so terrible underneath...definitely onions....more
