(view spoiler)[ I can see where there's a divide on this book, especially how everything kicked off in the begining. I understand where people came from defending Nesta and how she was handling herself and what she was doing. Completely understandable - her entire life had been set up for her, never allowed to do what she wanted, whenever she wanted. That freedom meant EVERYTHING to her, that apartment meant everything to here, even if it was shitty. They even gave her time to be on her own to figure it out.

However it was made very aparent just by being in her POV that she wasn't going to get help with the trauma of her fathers death or her expierence with The Cauldron. She wasn't going to ever ask anyone for help. She was running from her problems and masking it with sex and wine. We see it in how she thinks of herself - that she thinks she doesn't deserve their kindness or affections. We read about how she didn't want to face what was in her head and tried the stairs so many times.

Do I think they could have approached it better? Of course I do. Her apartment was taken out from under her and then the building was torn down. It was a bit of an extreme way to tell her she could live in The House of Wind or with the humans again. (Even though Feyre offered a room in the estate but again - the feeling of she didn't deserve them came up - and in Nesta's eyes she didn't belong). She was again being told what to do, in a way that felt as if she was being ganged up on. (Being told they had discussed it without her being there was a big trigger for her.)

Now my happier thoughts: I cried when Nesta realized Gwyn and Emerie were her friends. I was so giddy when she started to open up to them both and was grinning and giggling when they had their little girls night.
Nesta and the House bonding and interactions was so cute. Them swapping romance novles LOL.
When all 3 of them finally cut the ribbon. CHILLS DOWN MY BODY.
When Nesta finally admitted she was Cassian's mate and had set herself up for her body to adjust itself when it was time for her to have children. EEHEHEEEE. She was finally seeing a future and imagining a life with him.
