"This is where I’ll stop until part 2 of the Villeneuve adaptation comes out later this year—definitely looking forward to watching this not knowing anything.

What’s apparent from reading this so far is (1) the 2021 adaptation took great care condensing the movie script into something that stands unique (2) the book is so rich in lore, that it makes for a fun and intriguing page-turner. Until next time!"

Philip K. Dick
“You will be required to do wrong no matter where you go. It is the basic condition of life, to be required to violate your own identity. At some time, every creature which lives must do so. It is the ultimate shadow, the defeat of creation; this is the curse at work, the curse that feeds on all life. Everywhere in the universe.”
Philip K. Dick, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Yukio Mishima
“There isn't any fear in existence itself, or any uncertainty, but living creates it.”
Yukio Mishima, The Sailor Who Fell from Grace with the Sea

Haruki Murakami
“As we go through life we gradually discover who we are, but the more we discover, the more we lose ourselves.”
Haruki Murakami, Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage

James Baldwin
“I saw my mother's face again, and felt, for the first time, how the stones of the road she had walked on must have bruised her feet. I saw the moonlit road where my father's brother died. And it brought something else back to me, and carried me past it, I saw my little girl again and felt Isabel's tears again, and I felt my own tears begin to rise. And I was yet aware that this was only a moment, that the world waited outside, as hungry as a tiger, and that trouble stretched above us, longer than the sky.”
James Baldwin, Going to Meet the Man

Haruki Murakami
“We live in a pretty apathetic age, yet we’re surrounded by an enormous amount of information about other people. If you feel like it, you can easily gather that information about them. Having said that, we still hardly know anything about people.”
Haruki Murakami, Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage
