"A treat for my holiday! Listening to this yarn of a daring young woman journalist forging a path in a man's world at the end of the 19thc in San Francisco and later in Chile. The Spanish is fairly easy to understand, easier than Las Inviernas which I just finished at a speed of 0.85 ;)
And although it's a bit cliché-ridden, that makes it more straightforward to listen to, enjoy and improve my listening skills!" — Nov 02, 2026 02:40AM

"Very readable short stories about Muslim women's experience in the caste, patriarchal and religious systems in southern India. The stories are tragic, witty, thought provoking and original. Reading for a book group and I think it's a great choice" — Nov 02, 2026 02:17AM
