Okay this is flat out one of the FUNNIEST and unserious books IVE EVER READ. I adore this so much. The way Rae kept calling everyone her “evil minions,” the way that she kept using today’s slang so no one knew what she or the gol Wow. So many thoughts

Okay this is flat out one of the FUNNIEST and unserious books IVE EVER READ. I adore this so much. The way Rae kept calling everyone her “evil minions,” the way that she kept using today’s slang so no one knew what she or the golden cobra (wickedly cool name btw) were talking about half the time absolutely killed me. The way she kept making jokes about her boobs I’m dead💀💀

OKAY WHAT IN THE WORLD. This review is going to be all over the place so bare WITH ME BECAUSE HOLY CRAP. THE GOLDEN COBRA/ERIC AND THE LAST HOPE? THE GOLDEN HOPE I CALL THEM. Holy crap I adore them with everything in me. First off I adore the golden cobra… one of the absolute best characters in my opinion. My fave. He and Key honestly tie as favorite character, but at the same time the golden cobra a tad more but Key just felt like my child so.

Okay so I literally called that Eric was human.. and I LOVE THAT HE WAS. Although.. when Marius found out how Eric died it broke my heart, that heartless monster of a mother? WHAT THE ABSOLUTE HELL. THATS DESPICABLE TO LET A CHILD DIE LIKE THAT AFTER HE LITERALLY KILLED HIMSELF TO SAVE YOUR DAUGHTER. Phew; anyway. I love how he’s like “no, where are you from? I’m from New York.” He ate with that reveal. And the way they were such a chaotic and crazy villain duo I’m dead! The dance number and song absolutely killed me💀💀💀the way they put on a Ross and Rachel show or whatever I’m dead💀💀. They just never ceased to make me crack the heck up.

Okay but back to Marius and him. THEY SO WANTED EACH OTHER. They need to kiss in the second one, I’m begging the author. It’s the way that Marius kept saying he HATED Eric and then.. literally wanting to know where he came from and what his deal was when he had ONE CHANCE FOR A QUESTION. AND THEN THE WAY HE COULDNT KILL HIM AND INSTEAD SWORE AN OATH TO HIM??????? I’M SO DEAD FOR THIS, ADOOOOREEEE. And the way he’s just so whipped.. wake up and smell your lust hopie, wake up man.

I liked Emer but didn’t have much thoughts on her. I wish she kinda died because for a while there.. I was brokenhearted over Key! Oh wow what a shocker at the end there, oh boy! Her chapters were kinda funny and honestly later on kinda sad when she found out the truth of Rae, cause now she kinda found someone she bonded with and Rae’s gonna leave soon so yeah!

KEY. Holy crap I adored this man. For one I was picturing him as a really sexy fanart of a dark haired baddie evil boy and he’s just so hot to me. He’s so slay the way he just kills people and just is like so chill afterwards, he always ate. I’m surprised he’s not 1,000 lbs with the way he always ATE. Also I shipped him and Rae a lot so… I felt so bad when he’s like “tell me you were sick” like.. those were the last words he heard and it broke me. Or so I thought. I DID NOT SEE HIM BEING THE EMPEROR COMING. WOW WHAT AN ENDING AHHHHH GAGAGHAHAHAH.

I didn’t have much thoughts on Octavian until the end when I was led to hate his guts and start sobbing over Key.. but hey, look where that got him! OH HIS ENDING ATE. WOW DID I CHEER WHEN RAE SAID HER ICONIC LINE AND PUSHED HIM INTO THE RAVIIIINEEE AHHHH.

This fantasy world is so unique and I just love the setting and everything about this, also it’s so cool that the author of the book is anonymous, and how each actual starts with parts from a time of iron! ...more "
