Absolutely agree. The Haggadah, or more accurately the seder, is an example of how ritual can transform that trauma that we are perpetually reliving into a foundational memory that we HAVE LIVED but are now through and free to interpret from safety. The Haggadah doesn't tell us to see ourselves as though we are still in Egypt, reliving the trauma, but as having made it out. And Egypt is more than a geography. It is any Mitzrayim, any "narrow place" we are leaving.
