We left off on the cliffhanger that Rai found out Kyle wanted to bring the Bratva and the Irish down, and then got pushed down the stairs by someone. This book begins right were we left off and at the hospital we find out that Rai has memory loss, forgot the last 10 years and was panicking at the sight of Kyle. I felt some type of way because I didn't want a repeat of the last series, but only this was better because Rai was pretending to have memory loss so she could fool Kyle and get information from him. I felt so bad got both Kyle and Rai because Kyle was so obsessed with her and hurt that Rai was keeping him at arms length due to her memory loss but at the same time Rai was hurt cause Kyle said she meant nothing to him on the phone call. I liked that it didn't drag on for too long, and she had Vlad torture him for information. I know that sounds harsh but I get it, we were in the mafia world. She was such a badass though, literally slipping sleeping pills in his drink but making sure not to hurt him and then going to confront him. She even gives him the option to leave because she loves him and doesn't want to kill him. But Kyle is also a crazy mf and he comes crawling right back. Then we have the scene with the Albanians. I felt so bad for Rai, but even then she was so kickass and she literally bit the guys dick, then shot his dick and then shot his forehead. Like I think she may be my favorite Rina Kent heroine. Then when she goes to the doctor she finds out she is pregnant since Kyle switched out her birth control pills. I'm ngl this was a really dick move. It's manipulative as hell but in this book somehow while I acknowledged it was a dick move surprisingly I didn't hate it. I also understood Rai's POV on why she wanted an abortion though. It is her body and her choice. She didn't want a baby so she took birth control pills, and just because they were switched out doesn't mean that changed her decision. I was happy to see that she chose to keep it, for the only reason that I wanted to see them be a family and the sooner the better. And Rai chose to keep it and wasn't pressured or anything. If she was pressured that would have changed my mind. I even liked that we got a couple scenes in this book with Reina, Asher and their kid. I felt so bad for him when he ran up to Rai but she had to pretend she didn't know him for his safety. Kyle was just stupid and crazy to the end. Like going after the Irish mafia boss with no back up and leaving Rai because he though she didn't want him. Like he was so dumb. But i love how Rai came guns blazing to save him. But I didn't expect the twist that Niall wasn't Kyle's father but rather Mikhail. I'm glad Kyle came back to his senses and went after her. It was also super cute reading their epilogues because I love to read about their HEAs. Also I'm so curious about Lia and Adrian's story and I know they have their own trilogy and I can't wait to read it! I'm also super curious as to where Anastasia went, and if we're going to see her again. Overall, I loved this book so much and it was super enjoyable. I loved all the twists and turns and I'll probably reread this series many times. Definitely a 5 🌟 read! ...more "
