"Chapter 119: Maybe one of my favorites. Incredible Ahab monologue. Seems to say he is entirely dedicated to the complete disobedience and defiance of a silent, impersonal god which has not explained itself for his suffering. The Pequod sails towards oblivion, against the stormy Gail that would otherwise carry them home, to salvation, if they sailed with it. Psyched I got to read this chapter in a thunderstorm." — May 18, 2026 09:07PM

"I don’t dislike this, but the start wasn’t what I expected. Heavy on debunking the mythology of the cartel as it’s seen in writing/film/etc. rather than nitty-gritty material and political analysis. However, it seems to be turning to that which I’m enjoying. I have a feeling Fort Bragg Cartel will be a great follow up to this." — Jan 05, 2026 09:16PM
