" I am not finished with the book yet, I’ve only read 51% of the book so far, however, I’m still not sure whether I should finish it or not. I bought the book thinking it was a beautiful romance with an enemies to lovers trope, unfortunately, I am a bi I am not finished with the book yet, I’ve only read 51% of the book so far, however, I’m still not sure whether I should finish it or not. I bought the book thinking it was a beautiful romance with an enemies to lovers trope, unfortunately, I am a bit disappointed of many of things:

1- I don’t think that the whole story makes sense at all. You mean to tell me that a faerie found out that a human killed his friend and the only logical idea he thought of was to take her out of her miserable life? Releasing her of her abusive family? How is that a punishment exactly? It made no sense to me. In the beauty and the beast story the beast locked up Belle because she willingly wanted to rescue her father of the punishment for trespassing in the beast’s castle, And at first he treated her horribly, but slowly he began to soften until they fell in love and he turned from an ugly beast to a very handsome prince. So as you see, everything made sense here, but in this book, nothing really does.

2- So, like I’ve mentioned at the beginning, I bought this book thinking it was an enemies to lovers book, and this book being an enemies to lovers is the only thing that makes sense really because when you look at the story, you would see that she is a human that killed his best friend, so they should hate, and even loathe each other, shouldn’t they? I didn’t see that at all throughout this book, from what I’ve read, Tamlin was always so nice to her for some reason, and that pissed off tbh. It’s like he was always in love with her and never actually had to go through the phase of hating her for killing his best friend.

3- I simply disliked how obsessed Feyre was with Tamlin’s face. Like alright I get it, he’s the most handsome man on this earth. What truly annoyed me was the fact that this was the only thing she was thinking about in so many times where thinking about such things is considered silly, and even impossible. Like seriously? You’re thinking about how handsome he is while he is literally taking you from your land to a whole new land that you know nothing about? Or while he was touching you while being “wild” and not in his right mind? And speaking about this part, chapter 21 was something that I would prefer to read in a Wattpad fanfic. Like the way Feyre was talking about how handsome the man that rescued her from almost being sexually harassed!! You were about to get sexually assaulted by a group of men Feyre, why are you talking and thinking about how handsome a man is right now?? I truly can’t comprehend the way her brain works sometimes.

4- I think that their relationship was rushed. Like I said Tamlin was always so nice to her since the beginning for some reason sooo..

5- Listen, I always blame the fact that English is not my first language and that I am not that good at it yet whenever I dislike the writing of a book, however, I feel like I have to talk about how much I hated the use of the period/full stop in this book. For some reason, Feyre speaks like this: “The… the blight is growing again” “Why… why would they do this?” All the time!! Like please, nobody speaks like this at all times, right?
Like in one chapter she talked in this way for more than six times, if we’re not including her internal monologue of course.

In conclusion, I am a little bit disappointed with how this book turned out. I think some people would enjoy it more than me. Thank you! ...more "
