Bitter Sweet

None of which changed the fact that I knew, but would never admit, that the relationship was tearing me apart, because it really was. It’s just that I was so fragile that I was tearing more easily than any of us could have ever predicted.
I loved this book so much, and it actually beat my expectation.
I don't know whether I misread the synopsis or mixed it up with another book, but I picked up this one thinking it was going to be a tale of a young woman setting up, sabotaging and manipulating her way into the life of the object of her obsession.
But what I walked into was a tale of a young woman's hope and naivety, and gripping to the emotional bonds she's yearned for since losing her mother. Despite her poor choices, I viewed Charlie like I would my own sister, and I felt all the disappointment in her choices, but sympathy and understanding as to why she made them.
Bittersweet is the perfect encapsulation for this book.
