Hollywood is still so racist against Asians that when there’s a rare Asian extra in a film, I tense up for the chinky joke and relax when there isn’t one.
I just prefer watching Asian media for the feeling of being represented. It's still weird for me seeing an older Asian person who is old who speaks perfect English because that's not what I grew up with. That will be me some day.
