The next Becket x Henry play left quite an impression on my half-functioning brain, and I can say with a grim smile: RIP to any actor who has to learn all these complicated, intricate, long, yet fast-paced dialogues by heart. The language is noble and ...more "

"Letka slávy – Robert Rath
4.25 z 5
No vida! Sice byla povídka občasný popisný akční binčus, ale rozhodně kvalitně podaný. Od autora bych si s chutí přečetla něco delšího. A klidně i o letectvu." — Apr 07, 2026 02:11PM

“[T]he unnamed soldier is a gift. The named soldier--dead, melted wax--demands a response among the living...a response no-one can make. Names are no comfort, they're a call to answer the unanswerable. Why did she die, not him? Why do the survivors remain anonymous--as if cursed--while the dead are revered? Why do we cling to what we lose while we ignore what we still hold?
Name none of the fallen, for they stood in our place, and stand there still in each moment of our lives. Let my death hold no glory, and let me die forgotten and unknown. Let it not be said that I was one among the dead to accuse the living.”

“Most eyes have more than one color, but usually they're related. Blue eyes may have two shades of blue, or blue and gray, or blue and green, or even a fleck or two of brown. Most people don't notice that. When I first went to get my state ID card, the form asked for eye color. I tried to write in all the colors in my own eyes, but the space wasnt big enough. They told me to put 'brown'. I put 'brown', but that is not the only color in my eyes. It is just the color that people see because they do not really look atr other people's eyes.”
