"Just read the introduction stuff. Cool map at the beginning. I think it shows just how much of a philosopher-emperor Aurelius was by the fact that the introduction spends over half its time talking about Meditations/Τά εις εαυτόν. I hope that the biography gives a little analysis to the work, Meditations can be kinda hard to interpret sometimes." 8 hours, 22 min ago

"Read another chapter ("Who is Fighting Whom?"). I know I'm reading this in retrospect, but good god, the in fighting between the British and French was so stupid. How did they possibly manage to win the war with so much childish squabbling? I do like how this section gave some context for the Vichy regime, I would like for more though in future chapters.
