Shakespeare, as has been rightly said, ‘was to be the greatest single force in establishing for the Englishman the traditional picture of his past’.
Yes indeed, and Shakespeare was an amazing talent, he was a blessed author. But no historian, and this is the problem, People take the words of Shakespeare as fact. It is not! This would be like taking the Great Gatsby as fact and history!!
