“Story in a game,” he said, “is like a story in a porn movie; it’s expected to be there, but it’s not that important.”
I completely disagree. Games can be so much more than just a collection of mechanics tied with graphics. Also those who rely solely on visuals don’t age well while those which offer more than just a mindless killing spree can be fun even years after release. System Shock without a story? Fallout without a story? Even Another World.
