In the adventure Virgil makes sure to show Dante the punishments of what will happen to you for the sins that you commit.

With in the nine circles of hell the first circle contains the state known as limbo contains the people who did not accept christ. The second circle of lust contains the sinners that committed adultery and are sentenced to be contained in a endless storm. The third circle of Gluttony sinners are sentenced to a living abdomen where they will be digested continuously for eternity. The third circle of greed sinners must lie in a landfill of excrement. The fourth circle the greedy and the wasteful must charge at each other with boulders breaking each others limbs for eternity. The Fifth Circle of Hell contains the river Styx a swampy cesspool where the people bent on revenge full spend eternity struggling well choking on mud. The Sixth Circle of Hell contains the Heretics there is a large city of demons where you obey their every whim/bidding.

The seventh circle contains three inner rings the first ring holds the people who were violent towards one another spend life in a boiling pit of blood. The second ring holds the suicidal where they spend eternity as a tree so they may not harm themselves. With in the third ring the ones who were violent towards god and nature the sodomites spend life on the burning desert. The eighth circle of Hell known as the evil pouches contains ten pouches of torture the first pouch contains the seducers who will be whipped for life. Inside the second pouch the Flatterers lie in a river of excriminate with no limbs. In the third pouch those who committed simony are sentenced to hang upside down with burning feet. In the fourth pouch the fake human gods shall walk in a endless direction with their heads backwards. In the fifth pouch people who accepted bribes lie well demons continuously tear them apart. In the sixth pouch priests who sentenced jesus to death will lay crucified. The seventh pouch contains the thieves and they play an endless game of tag where you're a viper and you must bite new humans in the seventh pouch to regain your human form. the eighth pouch holds the liers doomed to an eternity of no communication. the ninth pouch holds the scandlers who walk in circles with wounds that never heal but have eternal pain. In the tenth circle the Falsifiers will live with horrible diseases.The Ninth Circle of Hell people who betrayed their birth place will stand in ice up to there heads. Within the last ring of the ninth circle Lucifer, who is trapped in the frozen lake Cocytus feeds on historys greatest sinners.

Dantes Inferno was a very long but satisfying book and taught me a lot about the unforgiving side of christianity's god. now i know more about the religion and i think it will make me a better person inside. ...more "
