Not as great as Rebecca, but still- love it! Love the atmospheric setting, the eerie Jamaica Inn with the spooky moors around it. And the main character, Mary, is very easy to root for. Looking forward to reading Daphne’s other books!

One of the coolest children books ever :) Rereading this reminds me why I loved this book so much as a kid. The gothic feeling, mysterious illness, secret place and the flowers, the animals, the sun... This book made me want to go out and play :D
