A first draft is a spilling out of first thoughts without regard to form, punctuation, grammar, and spelling. It’s just getting it down. The best way to do this is to write fast, so fast that the inner critic can’t interrupt your thoughts.
“what if
there isn't enough time
to give her what she deserves
do you think
if i begged the sky hard enough
my mother's soul would
return to me as my daughter
so i can give her
the comfort she gave me
my whole life”
― The Sun and Her Flowers

“loneliness was the reason
i held on to you
and holding on to you
was the loneliest thing
i had ever done”

i had ever done”

“(self-love)
One day your love for yourself
will outweigh the love
that keeps you holding onto someone
who chooses to hurt you;
one day the love for yourself
will be your strength-
that love will be more than enough reason
for you to walk away for good.”
― Whiskey Words & a Shovel II

“When you meet someone who is good for you, they won’t fill you with insecurities by focusing on your flaws. They’ll fill you with inspiration, because they’ll focus on all the best parts of you.”
