It was marvelous, powerful, strong. The kind that you just can’t get off your mind long after you finish. I ached with the characters, fell in love and understood the delicate fragility of love and life. If I could ask anyone to read one book, it would be this one. I did not know how much I needed it until I read it.

I read it first during a period of my life where I desperately needed Evelyn's story. I needed her wit, I needed the way she held herself despite all tribulations in life to support me. I needed to see myself in her. She was essentially flawed, yet so painfully human. She is like all of us, you cannot expect of her to be a pure, sincere version of a woman that society is trying so desperately to quiet down. She was herself even when the world was against her. Except to protect those she loved.

The bisexual representation is the best I've ever seen in my life. Taylor explained perfectly the struggle of liking both men and women, yet have both sides crucify you for it and erase half of you. Although not bisexual herself, Taylor did a perfect job at characterizing this.

The friendship with Harry is pure and unique. It's honestly, true blue. Forever. There is no what-ifs, no exceptions. Through the heartbreak and the pain.

I want the whole world to read this. I want this to be the book that I carry in me for my whole life. I bought a second copy and annotated every little thing I loved about it. I always said that I had no favorite books. That although there were some books and stories I deeply enjoyed, I couldn't categorize them as my "favorites".

This book really changed that. By the way that it's been a year since I first read it and 7 times of me reading it and counting, yet it still is on my thoughts every single day.

This may be extremely biased. Objectively, this is a great book. But to me, it's simply part of my identity now. I hope you get around to reading it as well.

10th read, June 2021: I am so in love with this book, it is unreal ! I love it so badly I'm going to cry. brb best story ever right here.
