This story line hit home because I am a 4 1/2 year survivor of invasive ductal carcinoma, stage 1 breast cancer. My eyes were glued to the pages as I followed the story. Kudos to you Pat Simmons for touching on this subject, because it is happening in women of younger ages. I was 45, six months from the age of 46 and I had years of good mammograms and no family history. I am blessed and living my best life, thanks to God, my family, the doctors and friends.
