Take a left at Hacienda Mundaca as you head south on the island instead of the right you would normally take toward the south end and you will enter the world of “La Gloria”, the inland neighborhoods of Isla Mujeres.

Things change quickly and this is up to date. Our favorite place was the Cuban place, mid island on the east side. Great food and low key vibe. Isla is too touristy for me now but fun to visit.
